Frequency Series Paintings

The Frequency series strips away figure and landscape and asks what remains when you let colour carry the entire meaning. Vertical fields of pigment vibrate against each other, each hue at its own pitch, bleeding into its neighbour without losing itself.

These paintings began as instinct before I had language for what I was doing. I kept returning to these vertical colour washes because they felt like the truest representation of what it sounds like inside the body when you carry more than one identity. Not a single note. A chord. Multiple signals at once, overlapping, refusing to resolve.
