This was one of the first Frequency paintings. Before I had language for what I was doing, before I understood that colour could carry geography, I was already mapping emotional terrain.
Deep magentas, violet, and coral fall through the canvas in vertical streams, the way memory arrives uninvited. Warm tones press forward. Cooler purples recede. The painting holds two states at once: the flush of urgency and the stillness underneath it. The feeling of carrying something you have not yet named.
Frequency began as an instinct. I kept returning to these vertical colour fields because they felt like the truest representation of what displacement sounds like inside the body. Not a single note. A chord. Multiple signals at once, overlapping, refusing to resolve into one clean frequency.
