Acrylic on canvas, informed by aerial photograph personally captured at 30,000 feet over the Italian countryside. Pinks, oranges, and yellows wash across the surface, held together by white topographic line work tracing the Tuscan terrain and curved roads. This is the place where I stopped running and started breathing. The first time I was completely alone and completely myself I needed to escape since covid began. A cartography of sanctuary.
