Summer Sunset over Lebanon

This is the hand-embellished print of Summer Sunset over Lebanon, made by me in my Sydney studio. The original has found its home with a private collector.

I took the aerial photograph from a plane window at 30,000 feet over Lebanon, the homeland my family fled in 1989. Teals, purples, and oranges wash across the surface as evening light moves over the mountains and the coast. Line work traces the terrain underneath, the place my family carried with them when they left.

This isn't a poster. Each print is hand-embellished by me with ink and synthetic polymer, signed and numbered on the back. Edition of 25 per size, each one a unique hand-embellished variation. No two are exactly the same.

About the artist
