Lungs Anatomy street

Why I created this artwork.

"Anatomy Street began when I lost my mentor while she was on a trip to Africa- waiting to hear back from her & I never did. While waiting for her return, I started exploring the body as architecture- lungs as branching structures, organs as topographic maps. Each piece in this series asks: How do we house ourselves? What does it mean to survive in a body that's both sanctuary and prison? The varied colour palettes represent different emotional states of inhabiting flesh.

Pink = vulnerability.

Green = growth.

Yellow = urgency.

Purple = grief.

These aren't medical illustrations; they're maps of embodiment."
